I have been an artist my entire life. Referring to myself as one happened in my mid 50’s. I connect my art, whether it be sculpture or drawing, photography or music to the natural world around me. Growing up I would collect clay from the Raritan River in northern New jersey and pretend I was a pioneer making pottery. I captured every type of critter I could find and observe or raise it, familiarizing myself with how they felt in my hands. I believe this helps me as a sculptor. Today I am a New York State licensed wildlife rehab volunteer. This offers me so many more opportunities to get close and personal with injured or distressed wildlife. My love for them is boundless as is my love for humankind. I believe love and tolerance, forgiveness and acceptance are key values that allow me to create art that communicates my feelings and that is why I do what I do.
